The Missionary Window was a memorial to L. Helena and Frederick wilson.  It is dedicated to the living power of God; the men who have caught and reflected some of the glory of our Lord, who wtand as beacons in the growth and westward movement of Christianity.

St. Francis stands in the forest, preaching to the birds and animals after having yielded all worldly pleasurers.  (1226 A. D.)

It is part of the story of the translation of the Christian religion across the high seas of Europe to the New World, where religious faith and freedom were the basis for a new nation, conceived under God.

This window depicts Pilhrim families of 1622.  The mother has a Bible under one arm and the father carries a gun over his shoulder.  The house of worship is a small log cabin, shown in the upper left hand corner of the scene.  This window was the gift of William P Burke as a memorial to Sarah K Burke.
